DESIGN CHALLENGES

The City of Greenwood Village was expanding the public works facility, and needed a solution for the walls of two buildings with different programmatic requirements. The sand & salt storage building needed maximum light transmission with a minimally-framed wall system. The Fleet Maintenance facility required thermal efficiency, maximum light transmission, and a cohesive exterior to match the sand storage building.

SOLUTION

DĀLYTE was able to offer a cost-effective solution for both buildings by utilizing the Ecowall system. Each elevation required only a perimeter frame with minimal substructure support. With 50% visible light transmission, supplemental lighting was not required during daylight hours for the Sand & Salt Storage building. Insulbar® thermal break technology provides sufficient thermal efficiency to miminize HVAC loads on the Fleet Maintenance Building. The Green AR material results in a clean, modern and cohesive appearance for both buildings.

“DĀLYTE is the only skylight company that Elite Roofing trusts. They go above and beyond the help determine your needs then finding an easy solution to your problems. They also let insurance companies know that you need to replace your full skylight and not just reglaze the existing one.”
